Key Obamacare Provisions delayed until 2015
Posted by Anna Koehler on Aug 9, 2013 in Health Insurance NewsKey provisions set to start on 1/1/2014 have been delayed for 1 year. Businesses of 50 or more employees will not have to offer health insurance to all full-time employees until 2015. The healthcare reform law states that employers of 50+ employees will be penalized for not offering affordable health benefits to all of their employees. Concerns of rolling out this plan too quickly while employers still have many questions about the act has prompted Washington to delay this provision for a year while Washington tries to simplify reporting of full time employees for these businesses. This delay will not have impact on implementation of other parts of the Healthcare Reform Act. For more information on this, please contact us!
